WP6 - Exploitation and Dissemination

The dissemination action in this project will use as a key dissemination weapon a web portal . Note that a tentative Soil Domain name (www.soil-project.com) has been acquired. For many reasons( see below) , this web portal will be built on top of the existing SOI portal www.soi-forum.com. It means that when accessing the SOIL web address a redirection to the SOI Forum infrastructure is planned.

The main objective, in addition to trigger attention to the Soil project and its results, is to create over years a live SOI Eco system ranging from SOI technology innovators to skilled designers thus triggering new exciting integrated systems on SOI technology on the market.

One of the expected benefits is to store in a SOI Data base the innovation results over the previous and next SOI targeted EU projects . This will allow innovation data sharing over time (SOI innovation Wikipedia like).

To increase global efficiency and avoid redundancy ,the SOIL portal will support concurrently 2 functions:

• Promote the sharing of all relevant SOI data among the members of the consortium .This is a challenge for large projects
• Promote the project result to the external world ranging from project reviewers to academic centres to the worldwide designer community and ultimately to the whole semiconductor world

As far as internal dissemination is concerned, a "private entry" restricted to project members supports 2 features:

• The portal should at any time summarize the updated project description and include an easy view about 'which partner involved in which deliverable'
• The development status of internal Design blocks or IP should be known by all partners. For that purpose, an IP catalogue will be maintained in the dissemination portal already deployed in OCEAN12/BEYOND5, listing IP elaborated within WP3

As far as public dissemination is concerned five features ,commented below ,need to be supported to guarantee a live project result dissemination namely:

• Scientific publications ,Dedicated FDSOI Events, Education and training, SOI News Letter and all worldwide SOI News reporting It is suggested to nominate a dissemination committee for permanent expertise of the dissemination efforts and the preparation of a main conference
